In a bizarre crossover event that defies traditional forecasts, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unexpected Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Revealed

According to the formal announcement, "An unusual confrontation draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a new quest, where hints of prohibited rituals and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The storyline features a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who tasks the characters with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a clandestine group.

The questline focuses on "peculiar trials and a monstrous adversary" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Transformations

The trailer showcases the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a striking moment showing a character, presumably the hostage, changing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Bonus Material

Players who finish the adventure will acquire an special katana together with several objects hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also contains in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
